Congress might be wrestling over its budget reforms, but Golden Corral, the family-friendly buffet restaurant, has passed its own form of budget control dubbed the Family Budget Act.

Here's how it works: After 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, kids 4 to 12 eat for $2.99 with a paid adult. The promotion is limited, but these sorts of promotions usually run a month or six weeks, according to a Golden Corral employee.

Golden Corral has three Tucson area locations: 6865 N Thornydale Road in Marana; 4380 E. 22nd St.; and 6385 S Midvale Park Road.
