A couple of famous figures in entertainment had some unique tweets for Southern Arizonans this week.
One was an apology. The other a reassurance.
When hip-hop giant Kid Cudi kicked off his Cud life Tour 2013 at Casino Del Sol’s AVA Thursday night, he apparently mispronounced the city’s name a time or two.
“TUCSON!! IM SO SORRY I PRONOUNCED THE CITY WRONG!!,” Cudi apologized in all caps from his twitter account, @ducidni. “NO ONE HAS BEEN CORRECTING ME, IM AN IDIOT. I OWE U ANOTHER RAGER! DONT BE MAD AT ME :).”
In a different instance, comic actor Simon Pegg used the social media platform to speak to the residents of Sierra Vista about his latest movie, “The World’s End.”
According to management at Cinemark 10 in Sierra Vista, it didn’t receive the Edgar Wright film until this week. It was released nationwide on August 23.
“People of Sierra Vista AZ,” Pegg said from his account, @simonpegg. “We had a word with the good folks at Cinemark and you'll be getting a different film about 5 hot boys this Friday.”
The other “five hot boys” film refers to the boy band documentary “One Direction: This is Us.”
