The mother-son team of Emma Vera and JorDan Fuller are set to open their first joint venture today, Calle Tepa, Mexican Street Grill.

The eatery, at 6151 E. Broadway, takes its nods from Vera's longtime and successful Mexican restaurant Guadalajara Grill. She owns the original grill on East Prince Road and has no ties to the eastside location.

Son Fuller has been part of the restaurant since his teens, but this is his first time striking out on his own.

Calle Tepa opens at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast. It will be open daily 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
