After quietly opening in January, Thunder Canyon Brewery downtown wants to make a little noise today when it hosts a St. Patrick's Day party.

This is a real party for real St. Paddy's fans: It starts at 5 p.m. today at 220 E. Broadway and spills over into Sunday, which is St. Patrick's Day.

The celebration includes discounted TCB craft beers and corned beef and cabbage. The brewery, an outpost of the longtime Foothills Mall brewery and restaurant, is expecting a crowd on Sunday from the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival. The brewery is located just a few blocks from the parade's staging area at Armory Park.

The Foothills Mall location, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd., also will celebrate St. Paddy's Day with green beer, black and tans and corned beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread.
