Hey if they can color your beer green in honor of St. Patrick's Day why not your bagel.
That's what Bruegger’s Bagels is doing Friday through Sunday. Each of its 300 bakeries — and several in Tucson — will bring out green bagels.
The tradition began in 1997 in the company's bakery in Pittsburgh. Customers were so intrigued that the concept continued and expanded to all of the stores.
In case you're wondering what flavor a green bagel will have, it's akin to the plain bagel. Dress it up with a schmear of cream cheese and you've got breakfast in hand.
The green bagels are available while supplies last. Tucson's Bruegger's locations include 7320 N. La Cholla Blvd., near Foothills Mall; 3843 E. Broadway; 7127 E. Tanque Verde Road; and 5665 N. Swan Road.
