The Tucson Sculpture Festival closes this weekend - so it's time for another party.
The two-week-long fest has jam-packed two venues with some impressive work created by local artists.
The closing reception is slated for 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Whistle Stop Depot, a very funky, very cool venue at 127 W. Fifth St.
There will be entertainment - including Anarchestra - food, beer, wine, good art and interesting people.
If you want to cruise through the exhibits before then, the doors are open at the Whistle Stop and the Sculpture Resource Center, 640 N. Stone Ave., at 11 a.m. today and Friday.
We all know there's impressive talent in the Old Pueblo, but to see so much art created with imagination and skill in such concentration really drives the point home.
Besides that, it's a party and it's free. How could you refuse that?
