The University of Arizona Poetry Center has turned to Montana for its current art exhibit.

"From What I Gather ..." features works by Karen McAlister Shimoda, who hails from Missoula.

Shimoda collects and reassembles to create her works.

"I collect things," she says in a press release.

"I don't want any of them to escape me. So I draw them and pin them and look at them often."

Among the works in the show is "Wedding Dress" - it is Shimoda's dress, and that's her writing on it.

"From What I Gather ..." continues through May 15 at the Poetry Center, 1508 E. Helen St.
