Don't expect to purchase any of Andy Thurlow's handmade musical instruments at the sculpture festival.
"I don't sell my instruments," he says, "though I have given a few away. I usually make them because I want them."
What he makes, he plays.
"I have built an entire orchestra, and played them all," he says. "I've made over 100 instruments."
And he wants you to play them, too.
"Everyone will be welcome to play the instruments at the sculpture fest," he says. "It's supposed to erase the barrier (between art and viewer). That's important to me."
