Artist Willow Bader knows what she likes, and she likes the hot beeswax she uses in creating her encaustic paintings. "It's like tango - warm and fleshy and sensual - a very old medium," she says in an interview posted on her website (willowbader.com).

Not surprisingly, the exhibit "Willow Bader: A Night to Remember," currently on view at the Conrad Wilde Gallery, has the tango as its theme. They capture the movement, mystery and romance of the dance; that's not surprising, either: She is a tango dancer herself.

The exhibit continues through Feb. 23. The gallery is at 439 N. Sixth Ave., No. 195, 622-8997, and is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
