"James Gadsden: Railroad Promoter, Slave Owner & American Diplomat" is the lecture topic at 7 p.m. today at the Arizona Historical Society Museum auditorium, 949 E. Second St. Freelance writer David Devine discusses Gadsden's involvement with the Western railroads. This biographical talk reviews his life and how it influenced the treaty. Admission is $6 general; $5 AHS members; $3 students with I.D. 628-5774.
