Bicycle Inter-Community Action & Salvage (BICAS) presents it's 14th Annual Art Auction fundraiser and celebration.
Featured art includes sculptures, paintings, assemblages, jewelry and functional art, all made using recycled bicycle parts or with bicycle themes.
The auction will be held at The Art Gallery, 1122 N. Stone Ave. (at the northeast corner of Stone and Speedway) on Sunday, December 6.
The celebration will include music, entertainment and refreshments from 6-9 p.m.
The auction is silent. Bidding and final bids will be called at 9 p.m.
A sneak preview of the art to be auctioned will be held on Saturday, December 5 from 7-10 p.m., and also includes live music and refreshments.
Both days are free and open to the public, donations gladly accepted.
Now in it's 20th year, BICAS is a non-profit 501(C3) that serves all segments of Tucson by providing community education and a recycling center for bicycles. Individuals learn how to repair and build a bicycle as well as basic tool use, mechanical skills, and bike safety. BICAS also offers the means for artistic expression to thousands of community members. Through advocacy and recycling of the bicycle, BICAS promotes education, art, a healthy environment and provides service and opportunity for those in need.
