How would you use your position as an elected official to help businesses create jobs in Southern Arizona?
Improve the tax structure allowing businesses to expand with less overhead and restriction.
Should the qualifications for Medicaid or AHCCCS be broadened to make more people eligible?
If you were in a position to vote on SB1070, would you have voted for or against it?
In a world of finite resources, what if anything, would you be willing to cut to better fund education?
Education is already well funded. We need to evaluate and address what needs to be reapportioned within the educational system to redistribute wasted funds to the teachers and the classroom.
Should local government fight to keep the Rosemont Copper Mine out or encourage the company to stay?
Local government would benefit from additional enterprise in southern Arizona. However, the decision is not up to the local government and focus should be on immediate and local issues, - maybe they could fix the roads for now?
What is the most important issue in your race?
Economy and limited state spending – a strong economy and a frugal government will help to resolve many of the issues we currently face.
