Top priority: Making sure we do not erode the progress we have made with solar energy jobs and the billions in economic activity these jobs have brought.
How would you use your position as an elected official to help businesses create jobs in Southern Arizona?
I would help businesses create jobs by continuing my efforts to make Arizona the solar capital of the US. In the last two years alone, more than 14,000 jobs have been added to the Arizona economy by solar jobs. The sun shines almost every day in Arizona, which makes it a wonderful resource for our economy.
Should the qualifications for Medicaid or AHCCCS be broadened to make more people eligible?
The Corporation Commission has no authority over this issue.
If you were in a position to vote on SB1070, would you have voted for or against it?
Against
In a world of finite resources, what if anything would you be willing to cut to better fund education?
The Corporation Commission has no authority over this issue.
Should local government fight to keep the Rosemont Copper Mine out or encourage the company to stay?
I am opposed to the Rosemont Copper mine.
What is the most important issue in your race?
In addition to making sure we do not erode the progress we have made with solar energy, I want to concentrate on Water Conservation. Arizona’s most precious resource needs to be protected, while we have an abundance of sunshine, our water supply is limited.
