Dealing with math phobia

1. Take a summer refresher math course in a community college.

2. As soon as you take a math course in your first year of college, go to the math tutoring center and ask for help.

3. Team up with two to three other students and study together. You will be surprised by how much you can learn from each other.

4. Go to your professors' offices during office hours and ask them to explain the material and to give you study guides. They will give you examples of how students with similar phobias succeeded in the course.
