Gas prices increase; Tucson averages $3.39
Rising oil costs have pushed gas prices higher nationwide and in Arizona this week.
The statewide average price for regular gas jumped almost 10 cents to $3.55 per gallon on Thursday, according to the most recent data from AAA Arizona.
Nationally, prices jumped more than 15 cents to $3.67 per gallon, AAA said.
Tucson continued to have the lowest average price in the state, at $3.39 per gallon of regular gas, while Flagstaff had the highest at $3.73 per gallon.
Elevated crude-oil prices have pressured gasoline prices higher across the country, finally boosting Arizona prices this week, AAA said.
