Walmart Neighborhood Market now open on Ina

The first Walmart Neighborhood Market in Marana opened on Friday at 3900 W. Ina Road.

The 37,500-square-foot store will create about 80 part-time and full-time jobs. It features groceries, as well as a pharmacy, health and beauty products, stationery, paper goods, pet products and hardware items.

It will also offer Site-to-Store, a service that allows customers to ship online orders from www.walmart.com free to any Walmart store for pickup.

The store will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

AT&T says it spent $80M improving local networks

AT&T invested $80 million-plus in Tucson-area area wireless and wireline networks from 2009 through 2012, the company said this week in a news release.

The focus was on expanding 4G LTE mobile Internet coverage and enhancing the overall performance of its networks.

The AT&T network kept 99 percent of all Tucson-area wireless calls connected in the fourth quarter of 2012 (October through December), the company said.

AT&T launched 4G LTE in the Tucson area in December.
