Joaquin Ruiz, executive dean of the Colleges of Letters, Arts and Science, takes on the added role of vice president for innovation and strategy.
Ruiz "will lead a task force comprised of senior, emeritus and junior to midcareer faculty and members of the deans' advisory groups to brainstorm ideas and imagine new opportunities for cross-cutting collaborations across the intellectual landscape of the University," Weaver Hart wrote. "The task force will consider how best to position the UA within new scholarly frontiers, building on our strengths and imagining new, unbounded possibilities."
