2-10 Home Buyers adds Heather Chumbler

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty has added Heather Chumbler to its local resale sales team.

Chumbler joins the company from Bank of America, where she spent eight years in banking and recruiting. She also has six years of experience in title and escrow, working as an account manager for Title Security Agency.

Chumbler received a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and was the recipient of the 2006 Tucson Association of Realtors Affiliate of the Year award.

Daugherty joins Long team

Phyllis Daugherty has joined the Long Realty Co.'s sales team in its Tanque Verde Road office.

Daugherty, who has more than 10 years of real estate experience, specializes in helping both buyers and sellers in the Tanque Verde and Vail areas.

A Tucson resident since 1955, she is active in the Vail Chamber of Commerce and the Humane Society.

Ex-radio star Michaels joins Simply Bits LLC

Longtime Tucson radio personality Alan Michaels has joined Simply Bits LLC as senior sales representative for the local telecommunications and Internet provider.

Michaels was recently associated with Jim Click Automotive and spent more than 25 years in radio, formerly hosting the morning show for KWFM 1450-AM. He is active in numerous Tucson charities, including the Centurions, Angels' Men's Committee and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

Hispanic Chamber chief named to advisory council

Lea Marquez-Peterson, owner of TucsonBizForSale.com and president and CEO of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the National Women's Business Council.

The group is a bipartisan, federal advisory council created to serve as an independent source of advice and policy recommendations to the president, Congress and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women business owners.

Rosemont Copper taps Dorothy Strosky

Rosemont Copper recently hired Dorothy Strosky as the company's accounts-payable technician.

Strosky, who grew up in Tucson, has more than 35 years of administrative experience.

Prior to joining Rosemont, Strosky worked for Cemex Materials, where she spent 25 years in positions including sales coordinator, administrative assistant and payroll and human-resources assistant. She also worked as premium billing supervisor for Health America.
