Gas prices continue to drop nationwide and in Arizona, where some stations in the Phoenix area dipped below $3 per gallon this week, according to AAA Arizona.
The statewide average declined 3.7 cents in the past week to $3.19 per gallon of regular on Friday. The nationwide average dropped 6 cents in a week to $3.21 per gallon.
In Tucson, the average gas price dropped more than 4 cents in a week to $3.12 per gallon of regular.
Peoria and Flagstaff had the lowest and highest state fuel averages at $3.10 and $3.44 per gallon, respectively.
