The American International Toy Fair trade show is going on this week in New York, with more than 1,000 toy manufacturers showing toys they hope will be big sellers in 2011. Here are five standouts at the event for industry insiders:

• Redakai: Launching in fall 2011, this trading card game by Spinmaster, the maker of Bakugan, features 3-D graphics and animation effects on the cards. The first series will have more than 100 cards and range in price from $5.99 to $29.99 for cards, action figures and accessories.

• Ji Ga Zo: A mind-boggling puzzle game imported from Japan by Hasbro Inc. It's made up of 300 puzzle pieces in shades of black, white and gray with symbols on the back. Users upload any photo through the Internet and print out a map. They then match the symbols on the puzzle pieces to the map and slowly assemble a puzzle version of the photo. Available now, $24.99.

• Sweet Talkin' Ken: Tied to Ken's 50th anniversary, Mattel's Sweet Talkin' Ken. A built-in microphone lets kids record anything they want Ken to say. He'll repeat it in his own voice, the child's voice or a high-pitched voice. Available now, $19.99.

• Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: A hybrid video game and collectible-toy line by Activision. The characters in the video game will be available as action figures with a chip in them. Place the figure on a "power portal" to play the character in the game. Debuting in the fall. Prices aren't set. Figures are expected to be under $10, and the game, which comes with three figures and other accessories, should be about $69.

• Angry Birds Knock on Wood Game: Angry Birds, a popular iPhone game, becomes a physical game from Mattel Inc. in which players try to knock down structures and pigs. Available in May for $14.99.
